Vinnies CEO sleepout
For the second year running, Chris Christofi is taking part in Vinnies CEO sleepout to raise money and awareness for people experiencing homelessness. The event sees CEOs across Australia coming together and sleeping out on one of the coldest nights of the year.
In 2018, the sleepout raised $6.9 million to help people gain vital access to food and accommodation, and the education, counselling, employment and health services to help people overcome poverty in the long term.
Insurmountable struggles
Chris’ motivation to take part in the sleepout comes from hearing about the experiences of people experiencing homelessness. ‘At CEO Sleepout, you hear firsthand from people who have faced insurmountable struggles,’ says Chris.
‘There’s a lot of strength and hope that you can draw from their stories, but it doesn’t change the fact that too many vulnerable Victorians are in this situation and there’s still a lot of work to do. We all have a role to play in preventing poverty. This will be my second year sleeping out and it won’t be my last!’
Aiming high
Last year, Chris achieved his $40,000 target. Now, he’s aiming even higher and has set an ambitious donation goal of $60,000 – and he needs your help to reach it. If you are able, please visit Chris’ page and give what you can to the cause. For every dollar raised, Reventon will donate 50 cents, so every little helps.
